The letter to Galatians, written by the apostle Paul, is a passionate cry in defense of the pure gospel of Jesus Christ. Addressed to the churches of Galatia, this epistle arises in a context where false teachers, the Judaizers, were distorting the message of salvation, demanding that Gentiles submit to the Mosaic Law, including circumcision, to be truly Christians.

The heart of Galatians is the uncompromising defense of justification by faith alone. Paul argues vigorously that salvation is not achieved by works of the law, but solely by the grace of God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. He demonstrates that Christ freed us from the curse of the law, becoming a curse for us, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

In it, we find true freedom – not to sin, but to serve God and neighbor in love, guided by the Holy Spirit. It invites us to live an authentic faith, free from legalism and self-justification, experiencing the fullness of life in the Spirit. It is an invitation to stand firm therefore in the freedom with which Christ has set us free (Galatians 5:1).
