Psalms 67

May the peoples praise you

For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song. May God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, Selaha 2that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.b 3Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You.

4Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You judge the peoples justly and lead the nations of the earth. Selahc 5Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. 6The earth has yielded its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.d

7God blesses us, that all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

Commentary
Psalm 67 is a brief, radiant prayer for God’s blessing and a vision of global worship. The psalmist asks God to shine His face upon Israel so that His saving power may be known among all nations. It echoes the Aaronic blessing from Numbers 6:24-26 and anticipates the universal reign
