Psalms 150

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord

raise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven!a 2Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness!b 3Praise him with a blast of the ram’s horn; praise him with the lyre and harp!

4Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes!c 5Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. 6Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!d

Commentary
Psalms 150 is the final doxology of the Psalter, a crescendo of praise that calls everything that has breath to worship the Lord. The psalmist issues a series of imperatives — praise God in his sanctuary, praise him for his mighty deeds, praise him with every instrument imaginable —
