Psalms 150

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord

raise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.a ²Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.b ³Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, ⁴praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe,c ⁵praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.

Commentary

Psalms 150 is the final doxology of the Psalter, a crescendo of praise that calls everything that has breath to worship the Lord. The psalmist issues a series of imperatives — praise God in his sanctuary, praise him for his mighty deeds, praise him with every instrument imaginable —
