Luke 12:45

⁴⁵But if that servant shall say in his heart: My lord is long a coming; and shall begin to strike the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and to drink and be drunk:

Luke 12 is a dense collection of Jesus’ teaching on the priority of the kingdom over earthly anxiety. He warns the disciples against the leaven of the Pharisees (hypocrisy), calls them to fearless confession, and tells the parable of the rich fool who stores up treasure for himself
