2 Samuel 7:13

¹³He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.e

2 Samuel 7 records the hinge moment in the Davidic covenant. King David, settled in his palace, proposes building a house for the Lord. The prophet Nathan initially approves, but God redirects the plan entirely: David will not build God a house; rather, God will build David a house
