Exodus 33:14

¹⁴and He saith, 'My presence doth go, and I have given rest to thee.'d

In **Exodus 33**, following the golden calf idolatry, God declares He will not go with Israel into the Promised Land, but will send an angel instead. This news deeply grieves the people. Moses intercedes passionately, seeking God's continued presence and glory. God relents, affirming His unique relationship with Moses and promising His presence, though He only reveals His goodness and back, not His full face, to Moses.
