Joel 2:26-27

²⁶And ye have eaten, eating and being satisfied, And have praised the name of Jehovah your God, Who hath dealt with you wonderfully, And not ashamed are My people to the age.k

²⁷And ye have known that in the midst of Israel [am] I, And I [am] Jehovah your God, and there is none else, And not ashamed are My people to the age.l

Joel 2 pivots from the devastating locust plague of chapter 1 to a coming day of the Lord that is both terrifying and hopeful. The chapter opens with a trumpet blast warning of an invading army, a vivid picture of divine judgment. Yet in a dramatic turn, God calls for repentance—not
