Luke 12:51-52

⁵¹Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.ac

⁵²For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

Luke 12 is a dense collection of Jesus’ teaching on the priority of the kingdom over earthly anxiety. He warns the disciples against the leaven of the Pharisees (hypocrisy), calls them to fearless confession, and tells the parable of the rich fool who stores up treasure for himself
