John 12:31-33

³¹The time for judging this world has come, when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out.k

³²And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.”l

³³He said this to indicate how he was going to die.

John 12 marks a pivot point in the Gospel. Jesus is anointed in Bethany, enters Jerusalem as King, and then speaks of his coming death as a grain of wheat that must fall to bear fruit. The chapter closes with a summary of unbelief and a call to walk in the light. It is the hinge bet
