Matthew 5:16

¹⁶so let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father who [is] in the heavens.o

Matthew 5 opens the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus' most concentrated teaching on the ethics of the kingdom of heaven. It begins with the Beatitudes, a series of blessings that invert worldly values, pronouncing favor on the poor in spirit, the meek, and the persecuted. Jesus then calls
