James 3:6

⁶and the tongue [is] a fire, the world of the unrighteousness, so the tongue is set in our members, which is spotting our whole body, and is setting on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by the gehenna.e

James 3 confronts the power of the tongue and the nature of true wisdom. James warns that the tongue, though small, can cause immense destruction, like a fire or a restless evil. He contrasts this with the wisdom from above, which is pure, peaceable, and full of mercy. The chapter c
