Isaiah 5:7

⁷Because the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts [Is] the house of Israel, And the man of Judah His pleasant plant, And He waiteth for judgment, and lo, oppression, For righteousness, and lo, a cry.

Isaiah 5 opens with the Song of the Vineyard, a poignant parable of God's faithful care for Israel and their bitter fruit of injustice. The chapter then pivots to a series of six "woes" pronounced against the nation's leaders and people for their greed, drunkenness, moral inversion,
