Hosea 10:12-13

¹²Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and rains righteousness on you.b

¹³You have plowed wickedness. You have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, for you trusted in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men.c

Hosea 10 continues the Lord's indictment against Israel, now focusing on the nation's prosperity as the very source of its apostasy. The chapter moves from a description of Israel as a luxuriant vine that produced fruit only for itself to a stark call for repentance and a warning of
