Jude 1:1-2

¹This letter is from Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. I am writing to all who have been called by God the Father, who loves you and keeps you safe in the care of Jesus Christ.a

²May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love.b

Jude 1 is a fiery, urgent letter written to warn believers about false teachers who have crept into the church unnoticed. Jude, the brother of James and half-brother of Jesus, calls his readers to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. He draws heavily on Old Testament
