Job 13:7-9

⁷“Are you defending God with lies? Do you make your dishonest arguments for his sake?

⁸Will you slant your testimony in his favor? Will you argue God’s case for him?

⁹What will happen when he finds out what you are doing? Can you fool him as easily as you fool people?

In Job 13, Job turns from addressing his friends to speaking directly to God, demanding an audience with the Almighty. He accuses his friends of being worthless physicians who smear lies on God's behalf, and he declares his intention to argue his case before God, even at the cost of
