Exodus 14:16

¹⁶Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.

Exodus 14 recounts the dramatic climax of Israel's liberation from Egypt, as Pharaoh and his army pursue them to the Red Sea. Trapped between the sea and the approaching chariots, the Israelites cry out in fear, but Moses reassures them of God's intervention. The Lord then miraculously parts the Red Sea, allowing Israel to cross on dry ground, before closing the waters over the pursuing Egyptian forces, utterly destroying them. This chapter is a powerful display of God's sovereign power and His faithfulness to His covenant people, establishing His name among both Israel and Egypt.
