Acts 2:2-4

²Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.b

³They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.c

⁴All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.d

Acts 2 records the birth of the church at Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descends on the apostles in wind and fire, enabling them to speak in other languages. Peter preaches a sermon that interprets this event through Joel's prophecy and the resurrection of Jesus, calling the crowd
