John 13:26-27

²⁶Jesus said, "The one to whom I give this crust of bread after I''ve dipped it." Then he dipped the crust and gave it to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot.

²⁷As soon as the bread was in his hand, Satan entered him. "What you must do," said Jesus, "do. Do it and get it over with."

John 13 marks a decisive pivot in the Fourth Gospel. Jesus, knowing his hour has come, washes his disciples' feet in an act of shocking humility, then identifies Judas as his betrayer and predicts Peter's denial. The chapter establishes the new commandment of love and models servant
