Genesis 41:38-41

³⁸Then Pharaoh said to his officials, "Isn''t this the man we need? Are we going to find anyone else who has God''s spirit in him like this?"b

³⁹So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "You''re the man for us. God has given you the inside story--no one is as qualified as you in experience and wisdom.

⁴⁰From now on, you''re in charge of my affairs; all my people will report to you. Only as king will I be over you."

⁴¹So Pharaoh commissioned Joseph: "I''m putting you in charge of the entire country of Egypt."

In **Genesis 41**, Joseph's long imprisonment ends dramatically when Pharaoh experiences two troubling dreams. Joseph, through divine revelation, interprets these dreams as seven years of abundance followed by seven years of severe famine. Impressed by Joseph's wisdom and the Spirit of God evident in him, Pharaoh elevates Joseph to the second-highest position in Egypt, entrusting him with the management of the impending crisis. This chapter marks a pivotal turning point, not only for Joseph personally but also for the unfolding of God's redemptive plan for his family.
