Micah 6:5

⁵O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.b

Micah 6 is a courtroom drama where YHWH summons Israel to plead their case. The chapter opens with God calling the mountains and foundations of the earth as witnesses to His covenant lawsuit against His people. He reminds them of His saving acts—the exodus, the leadership of Moses,
