Genesis 15:7-8

⁷And He saith unto him, 'I [am] Jehovah who brought thee out from Ur of the Chaldees, to give to thee this land to possess it;'

⁸and he saith, 'Lord Jehovah, whereby do I know that I possess it?'

In **Genesis 15**, God reaffirms His covenant with Abram, who expresses concern about his heir. God responds with a profound promise: Abram's descendants will be as numerous as the stars, and Abram believes the Lord, which is credited to him as righteousness. The chapter then details the formal covenant ceremony, where God pledges to give Abram's descendants the land from the Nile to the Euphrates, foreshadowing both future blessing and a period of affliction for his offspring.
