Judges 16:17

¹⁷וַיַּגֶּד־לָהּ אֶת־כָּל־לִבּוֹ וַיֹּאמֶר לָהּ מוֹרָה לֹא־עָלָה עַל־רֹאשִׁי כִּי־נְזִיר אֱלֹהִים אֲנִי מִבֶּטֶן אִמִּי אִם־גֻּלַּחְתִּי וְסָר מִמֶּנִּי כֹחִי וְחָלִיתִי וְהָיִיתִי כְּכָל־הָאָדָם ׃

Judges 16 chronicles the final, tragic acts of Samson, the judge of Israel. Despite his God-given strength, Samson's moral failings and susceptibility to Philistine women lead to his capture, blinding, and public humiliation. The narrative culminates in his final, redemptive act of strength, bringing down the Philistine temple and killing more enemies in his death than in his life. This chapter powerfully illustrates the consequences of disobedience and the surprising ways God can still use flawed instruments for His purposes.
