Romans 6:19-20

¹⁹I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh; for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.s

²⁰For when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.

Romans 6 is Paul’s definitive answer to a dangerous question: if grace abounds where sin abounds, why not sin more so grace can increase? Paul rejects the logic with force, arguing that baptism unites believers to Christ’s death and resurrection, breaking sin’s dominion. The chap
