Psalms 52:1

¹For the Chief Musician. A contemplation by David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, “David has come to Ahimelech’s house.” Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s loving kindness endures continually.

Psalms 52 is a maskil of David, written after Doeg the Edomite betrayed Ahimelech and the priests of Nob to King Saul (1 Sam 21-22). The psalm contrasts the arrogant, destructive boasting of the wicked with the steadfast love and security of the righteous who trust in God. David use
