Psalms 17:14

¹⁴from men by your hand, LORD, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.

Psalm 17 is a prayer of David, a cry for vindication and protection from enemies who surround him. The psalm moves from an appeal to God's justice, based on David's own integrity, to a plea for deliverance, and finally to a confident hope in God's presence. It is a lament that leans
