Proverbs 1:13-15

¹³We’ll find all valuable wealth. We’ll fill our houses with plunder.

¹⁴You shall cast your lot among us. We’ll all have one purse”—

Proverbs 1 opens with a title and purpose statement: these are the sayings of Solomon, designed to impart wisdom, discipline, and understanding. The chapter then personifies Wisdom as a woman calling out in the streets, contrasting her with the enticement of sinners. A father pleads with his son to
