Numbers 9:10-11

¹⁰“Say to the children of Israel, ‘If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to the LORD.

¹¹In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

Numbers 9 details two significant events: the Israelites' second Passover celebration and the divine guidance provided by the cloud and fire. The chapter opens with a command to observe Passover, highlighting the importance of remembering God's deliverance. It then addresses those ceremonially unclean, establishing a “second Passover” for them. The latter half of the chapter describes how the Lord's presence, manifested as a cloud by day and fire by night, directed Israel's movements, emphasizing God's continuous, sovereign leadership over His people in the wilderness.
