Isaiah 7:7

⁷This is what the Lord GOD says: “It shall not stand, neither shall it happen.”b

Isaiah 7 is a hinge chapter in the book of Isaiah, set during the Syro-Ephraimite crisis when Judah faces invasion from Israel and Syria. King Ahaz trembles in fear, but the prophet Isaiah delivers a message of trust: if Ahaz will not stand firm in faith, he will not stand at all. T
