Deuteronomy 26:18-19

¹⁸The LORD has declared today that you are a people for his own possession, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments.

¹⁹He will make you high above all nations that he has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the LORD your God, as he has spoken.a

Deuteronomy 26 outlines two significant rituals for the Israelites as they prepare to enter the Promised Land: the presentation of firstfruits and the offering of the tithe. These acts of worship serve as a profound expression of gratitude and remembrance of God's deliverance from slavery in Egypt.
