Revelation 1:5

⁵and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.e

Revelation 1 opens the final book of the Bible with a stunning vision of the risen Christ. John, exiled on Patmos, receives a revelation from Jesus through an angel. The chapter establishes the book's purpose: to show God's servants what must soon take place. After a formal greeting
