Exodus 34:10

¹⁰The Lord replied, “Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all your people. I will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord—the awesome power I will display for you.c

Exodus 34 recounts the renewal of the covenant between God and Israel after the catastrophic sin of the golden calf. Moses ascends Mount Sinai again, where God reveals His character as merciful and gracious, yet just. God then reinscribes the Ten Commandments on new stone tablets and reiterates key covenant stipulations, particularly regarding worship, festivals, and separation from pagan practices. The chapter culminates with Moses's face radiating God's glory, necessitating a veil when he interacts with the people.
