Isaiah 26:14

¹⁴They are now dead, they live no more; their spirits do not rise. You punished them and brought them to ruin; you wiped out all memory of them.

Isaiah 26 is a song of trust and longing, sung by a people who have learned to wait on the Lord. Set within Isaiah's larger “Apocalypse of Isaiah” (chapters 24–27), this chapter contrasts the security of those who trust in God with the futility of those who trust in human strength.
