1 Samuel 10:9-10

⁹Saul turned and left Samuel. At that very moment God transformed him--made him a new person! And all the confirming signs took place the same day.

¹⁰When Saul and his party got to Gibeah, there were the prophets, right in front of them! Before he knew it, the Spirit of God came on Saul and he was prophesying right along with them.

In 1 Samuel 10, Saul's anointing as king is confirmed through a series of prophetic signs given by Samuel. He is transformed by the Spirit of God, indicating divine empowerment for his new role. Despite this private confirmation, Saul initially hides from public acclamation. The chapter culminates in Saul's public selection by lot at Mizpah, where he is presented to the people as their chosen king, though some express doubt.
