Genesis 43 details the brothers' second journey to Egypt, compelled by famine and Jacob's reluctant agreement to send Benjamin. Judah's impassioned plea and pledge of responsibility for Benjamin finally persuade Jacob. Upon arrival, Joseph's steward brings them to Joseph's house, where they are treated with unexpected hospitality and Benjamin receives special favor. This chapter builds the tension, bringing all of Jacob's sons, including Benjamin, into Joseph's presence, setting the stage for Joseph's final tests and revelation.
