Romans 5:2-5

²By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.b

³And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;c

⁴And patience, experience; and experience, hope:d

⁵And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.e

Romans 5 pivots from justification by faith alone (chapters 3-4) to the secure hope and new identity that flow from it. Paul argues that those declared righteous in Christ now stand in grace, rejoice in suffering, and are guaranteed final salvation. The chapter then contrasts Adam a
