John 14:2-3

²In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.b

³And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.c

John 14 is Jesus’s farewell discourse to his disciples on the night before his crucifixion. He comforts them with the promise of his Father’s house with many rooms, declares himself the only way to the Father, and promises the coming of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. The chapter pi
