John 13:14-15

¹⁴If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.f

¹⁵For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.g

John 13 marks a decisive pivot in the Fourth Gospel. Jesus, knowing his hour has come, washes his disciples' feet in an act of shocking humility, then identifies Judas as his betrayer and predicts Peter's denial. The chapter establishes the new commandment of love and models servant
