¹²Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.l

1 Peter 4 calls believers to live with the same mindset as Christ, who suffered in the flesh, and to arm themselves accordingly. Peter shifts from suffering as a present reality to the urgency of holy living in light of the end of all things. He exhorts mutual love, hospitality, and
