John 8:45-47

⁴⁵But if I say the truth, you believe me not.

⁴⁶Which of you shall convince me of sin? If I say the truth to you, why do you not believe me?

⁴⁷He that is of God, heareth the words of God. Therefore you hear them not, because you are not of God.v

John 8 opens with the dramatic scene of a woman caught in adultery, brought before Jesus as a trap. Jesus' response — "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her" — disarms her accusers and offers her not condemnation but a call to new life. The chapte
