Isaiah 44:25

²⁵That make void the tokens of diviners, and make the soothsayers mad. That turn the wise backward, and that, make their knowledge foolish.k

Isaiah 44 is a chapter of stark contrasts: tender promise and fierce polemic. The Lord first pours out comfort on His chosen servant Israel, promising Spirit and blessing upon their descendants. Then, in a dramatic pivot, He exposes the absurdity of idolatry with surgical satire
