¹⁷כמו הרה תקריב ללדת תחיל תזעק בחבליה כן היינו מפניך יהוה:

¹⁸הרינו חלנו כמו ילדנו רוח ישועת בל נעשה ארץ ובל יפלו ישבי תבל:

Isaiah 26 is a song of trust and longing, sung by a people who have learned to wait on the Lord. Set within Isaiah's larger “Apocalypse of Isaiah” (chapters 24–27), this chapter contrasts the security of those who trust in God with the futility of those who trust in human strength.
