¹⁰They have gaped upon me with their mouth; They have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully: They gather themselves together against me.

In Job 16, Job responds to Eliphaz with raw, unvarnished anguish. He accuses his friends of being miserable comforters who multiply words without help. Job turns from them to God, but finds no relief — only a sense that God has become his adversary, tearing him apart like a wild bea
