Jeremiah 29:8

⁸For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Let not your prophets that are in the midst of you, and your diviners, deceive you; neither hearken ye to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

Jeremiah 29 contains the prophet’s letter to the exiles in Babylon, offering a surprising and counterintuitive word from the Lord. Rather than promising immediate deliverance, God commands His people to settle down, build houses, plant gardens, and seek the welfare of the city where
