Isaiah 41:27

²⁷[I am the] first [that saith] unto Zion, Behold, behold them; and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings.

Isaiah 41 opens a courtroom scene where God summons the nations and their idols to present their case. Through a series of rhetorical challenges, the Lord declares His sole sovereignty over history, specifically His raising of Cyrus from the east to accomplish His purposes. The chap
