Isaiah 19:1

¹The burden of Egypt. Behold, Jehovah rideth upon a swift cloud, and cometh unto Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at his presence; and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

Isaiah 19 delivers a startling oracle against Egypt, but it does not end in judgment. The chapter moves from a vision of Egypt's collapse — civil war, a cruel king, dried-up Nile, and foolish counselors — to an astonishing future where Egypt, Assyria, and Israel worship together. Th
