Numbers 13 recounts the pivotal moment when Moses sends twelve spies, one from each tribe, to explore the land of Canaan. Upon their return, ten of the spies deliver a terrifying report of giants and insurmountable obstacles, instilling fear and doubt in the Israelites. Only Caleb and Joshua maintain faith, urging the people to trust God and take the land, setting the stage for Israel's tragic rebellion and forty years of wilderness wandering.
