Genesis 4:25

²⁵כה וידע אדם עוד את אשתו ותלד בן ותקרא את שמו שת כי שת לי אלהים זרע אחר--תחת הבל כי הרגו קין

Genesis 4 chronicles the tragic story of Cain and Abel, the first recorded murder in human history, born from jealousy and unrighteousness. Following their parents' expulsion from Eden, the narrative quickly descends into deeper sin, revealing humanity's fallen nature and God's persistent, though often sorrowful, engagement with it. The chapter also introduces the lineage of Cain and the beginnings of human civilization, alongside the birth of Seth, through whom the line of promise would continue.
