Luke 10:38-39

³⁸Now it came to pass as they went, that he entered into a certain town: and a certain woman named Martha, received him into her house.s

³⁹And she had a sister called Mary, who sitting also at the Lord’s feet, heard his word.t

Luke 10 pivots from the mission of the seventy-two to the defining question of eternal life. Jesus sends out disciples with urgency and vulnerability, then receives them back with joy. The chapter’s centerpiece is the parable of the Good Samaritan, which redefines “neighbor” beyond
