1 Samuel 12:22

²²כב כי לא יטש יהוה את עמו--בעבור שמו הגדול כי הואיל יהוה לעשות אתכם לו לעםb

In 1 Samuel 12, Samuel delivers his farewell address to Israel, reaffirming his integrity as a judge and prophet, and confronting the people for their sin in demanding a king. He calls upon God to send thunder and rain, a miraculous sign that validates his words and demonstrates God's displeasure. Samuel then reassures the fearful people, urging them not to turn away from the Lord but to serve Him faithfully, promising that God will not abandon His people for His great name's sake.
